Corporate gifts are expected to look polished and carry a logo. For Spritzer Ion’s poolside brand experience, that wasn’t enough. Unseen Matters designed a seven-piece gift set where every item gives guests something to do, so the gifts became part of the event instead of something handed over at the end.
How do we create the poolside brand experience for Spritzer?
Start with the brand’s energy and let it set the creative direction. Spritzer Ion needed to feel bright, active, and social, so we designed for movement and play.
Spritzer positions Spritzer Ion as an isotonic drink made with carbonated natural mineral water, formulated to replace fluids and electrolytes lost through sweating, for workouts, busy days and hot afternoons (Spritzer, 2026). That active identity led to one guiding question: how can every item give guests something to do?
Why design corporate gifts around participation?
Experiential value can strengthen engagement, so Unseen Matters gave every item an action: wear it, squeeze it, press it, open it or float it.
This follows published research. A study of 485 consumers found that experiential value can strengthen consumer engagement, which then supports stronger brand relationships and intentions to co-create value (Nadeem et al., 2021). For us, that meant participation was planned from the first sketch. Some pieces invite photos, others add surprise, movement, or challenge. Guests became participants in the Spritzer Ion experience rather than recipients of it.

What was inside the Spritzer Ion corporate gift set?
Unseen Matters designed a seven-piece poolside gift set for Spritzer Ion, with 3D-printed sunglasses, a floating bottle holder, and an LED bracelet.
The sunglasses and bracelet supported the social side of the afternoon. The activity cards kept energy up between moments. The keychain was designed to leave the pool with the guest, so the brand stays in their day after the event.
Custom 3D-printed clickable bottle cap
Miniature Spritzer Ion bottle with a pressable cap for Instant product recognition and a small tactile habit.

3D-printed meme sunglasses
Exaggerated pixelated frames for a ready-made photo prop for a sunny poolside.
Envelope with glossy activity cards
Each card carries a playful challenge. It turns printed collateral into participation.

Floating coconut tree bottle holder
Keeps a bottle upright on the water and puts the featured drink inside the poolside scene.
Water droplet squishy
Soft, squeezable blue droplet symbolises refreshment as something you can hold and pass around.

Branded, glows in low light
Branding that moves with the guest.
Electric shock keycap keychain
Gives a small surprise when pressed. A take-home item that outlasts the event.

How do you make seven different gifts feel like one collection?
A cohesive gift set shares one colour palette, branding and theme. Spritzer Ion’s set used blue, water and play across all seven items.
Consistent colours, typography and Spritzer Ion branding stopped the set from looking like a pile of unrelated promotional items. The packaging did the rest. Opening the box revealed the items as one coordinated experience, and the custom envelope and cards gave the collection structure. Each piece can stand alone, but together they tell one story: switch on, join in and enjoy the moment.
Research on promotional merchandise points the same way. Controlled experiments found that physically using branded merchandise produced more positive responses to an unfamiliar brand than seeing the same brand on a poster (Kamleitner and Marckhgott, 2021). Spritzer is already well known, but the principle holds: an object carries more brand meaning when people actively use it.
How can a corporate gift set be sustainable without greenwashing?
Sustainable gifting means choosing each item for purpose, quantity and likely use, and stating its environmental credentials honestly.
Spritzer’s own sustainability approach covers energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, recyclable packaging and a goal of becoming a circular brand by 2030 (Spritzer, 2026). We’re not claiming every piece in this set shares those credentials. Playful event gifts include materials and components, such as plastics and batteries, that deserve honest scrutiny.
For organisations looking for ESG-minded corporate gifts in Malaysia, this is our test: can you explain why each item exists, and can you back up every environmental claim you make? A gift people actually use has a better chance of staying out of the bin than one picked to fill space.
What makes a corporate gift memorable at an event?
Memorable event gifts give guests something to do. Wearing, pressing and floating these items created photos, laughter, and brand visibility.
At a poolside event in Malaysia’s heat, the items worked because they matched the setting. Guests wore the sunglasses and bracelet, answered the activity cards, pressed the miniature bottle cap, squeezed the droplet, and floated their drinks. Those simple actions produced conversation, photographs, and organic brand visibility without anyone being asked to promote the brand.
