This year, for Hari Raya 2025, we didn’t just design gifts—we designed an experience. A journey of memories, traditions, and playful heritage that reconnects us to what really matters: togetherness, joy, and identity.

The Unseen Matters Raya Collection 2025 was born from a single idea:

What if festive gifting could be nostalgic, artisanal, and deeply local—but also sustainable and meaningful?

So we set out to create a collection that does exactly that.

Rooted in Culture, Reimagined for Celebration

Every item in our 2025 Raya collection carries the essence of Malaysian life—blending childhood games, tropical biodiversity, traditional flavors, and iconic materials.

To bring this vision to life, we collaborated with Mel, a Malaysian author-illustrator known for her bright, childlike artwork. Her playful yet intricate visuals were designed to mirror our themes of flora, fauna, play, and community—from the Malayan sun bear and tapir, to local games like batu seremban, sepak takraw, and gasing.

This collaboration is more than illustration—it’s an emotional visual language that runs through every box, card, and pouch.

A Gift Box for Every Memory

The Raya 2025 line-up featured nine curated sets, each designed with distinct identities and meanings:

• R1: Batu Seremban Pouch – Batu Seremban pouch with either classic batu or cookies; playful and elegant
• R2: Lebaran Metal Tin Box – Aluminium tin filled with two sets of festive cookies
• R3: Riang Gift Box – Kraft box featuring a joyful sun bear motif and buttery pineapple tarts
• R4: Cahaya Sutera – Fabric-wrapped wooden box with coasters, cookies, and childhood games
• R5: Raya Harta Box – A wooden treasure chest with twin jars of artisanal cookies
• R6: Puteri Weaved Bag Set – Handwoven rattan bag filled with cookies and herbal teas
• R7: Syawal Cookie Tiffin – Upcycled tiffin in 2-4 tiers with snacks and traditional elements
• R8: Bunga Raya Rattan Box – Sliding wood box with printed rattan, cookies, and curated tea
• R9: Kampung House – A wooden Raya house box, designed to be reused as décor

Each box came with interactive product info play cards, offering fun and storytelling with every unboxing—deepening the bond between the gift and the giver.

Celebrating the Unseen Through Materials and Makers

What makes this collection truly Unseen Matters is what lies beneath its beauty.

We worked closely with unseen communities—from the Orang Asli craftswomen who hand-wove our rattan bags, to the bakers, painters, and packers who shaped every detail behind the scenes.

We used unconventional, sustainable materials like:

• Velvet and woven fabric for keepsake pouches
• Upcycled tiffin tins and reusable wood boxes
• Local botanicals like pandan and rose tea leaves
• Signature snacks with a twist, such as Ketupat Pandan Dam cookies, authentic coconut cookies, and Biscoff cornflake creations

These weren’t generic hampers—they were heirlooms in the making.
